But seriously.. The RSX is a 210HP (about 175 to the wheels) 2.0 4cyl that kicks ***.. Fastest FWD N/A car on the market I believe?
I'd like to see a stock RSX-S take a 350z. Hell, even a stock SRT-4 can't do that. They're both fast and they'd keep up fine, but own a Z? Nope.

Yeah what the hell are you smoking? I have an RSX and it isn't nearly as fast as a stock 350z.

I'd like to know why the Z doesn't have a V8 in it !!! I mean co'mon, the Nissan Titan pick-up has a V8, why can't the Z ?

Not stock. But with a small amount of mods (Hondata ECU, CAI, exhaust) a stock Type S can keep up very nicely. Don't underestimate some of those bad boys. But most the ones you see on the street will be far behind us, mind you.

SRT-4 is faster than our Z, slightly. I think.

Anyway, the two I4's I would take over the Z are the S2000 (which I would own if they made a coupe version) and the Lotus Elise of course.

Because the Z's heritage is a line of 6-cylinder engines thats why. A V8 is not needed. But a factory Turbo or SC probably will appear eventually. Too many cars out there now that can easily overshadow the Z's performance, so Nissan will have to up the ante sooner or later and they will have to do it while keeping the price point near where it is now.

I'd choose an RSX Type-S over 185hp "Z"... but I mean if your 4-banger scenario had the Z at around the prices of the Scion TC, then I probably would buy it. Hope it would RWD as well
