Default Question about Special vs Touring

Hey all! Few questions about the differences of the 2005 Nissan Z 35th Anniversary and the 2005 Nissan Z Touring!

I) Is the ultra yellow paint job the same as the ultra yellow on the touring if you buy the "yellow"?
II) Is there a difference between the 2005 Touring engine (287hp w/ auto) and the 2005 35th Anniversary (287hp w/ auto)? Trans?
III) Does anyone have the 60-0 numbers for the Brembo braking system and the non-brembo braking system?
IV) Maybe its just me... but what is the different in the front end on the 35th compared to the Touring?

any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated!!!

i thought all the 35th's were going to come with the 300hp version, all MT?
The brembo does only a few feet better in 60-0 over 10 runs, but continuous track time they make a significant difference. If you dont track it, its not really a necessity.

Default Hope that this helps

I don't know about the paint job if it is exactly the same but I think that it is. They will only offer three colors on it which will be the ultra yellow, silverstone, or the super black. They will offer only two options for the interior which will be the charcoal leather, or the two tone interior which will be black and tan. The engines are different because the 35th edition will have 300 hp and it will redline at 7200 and if I remember correctly it will have a little less torque. Don't know the times for the braking systems. I think the difference in the front is that the 35th edition has a front chin spoiler that comes with it. Hope that this helps.

Thumbs up I agree

I think that the price difference is too much you can put a lot of mods into your car for the extra 2 grand they are charging more for it. I thought about getting it too but 13 more hp and a little more rpm's really didn't convince me.

Well shouldnt the RPM's come from the ECU... couldnt you just flash the ECU to the one thats in the 35th... or are there actual engine modifications like different forged pistons??

"The engine, which is available only with the 6-speed manual transmission, produces 300 horsepower versus the standard 287-horsepower V6."

so does this mean if I get the Automatic version I'm getting the same engine as the Touring model?... or does it have the new add-on's but lacks the chance to use the higher RPM band because its an automatic? ... thats what im trying to figure out...

is the Touring model engine the same as the 35th Ann. Automatic?

Shouldn't the redline be 7000 not 6600?

It's weird because everywhere I read it says that the 35th anniversary will only come with the 6speed manual transmission, but yet if you go to www.nissan.com you can build a 35th anniversary on automatic. I guess that the best thing to do would be to go to a nissan dealer and ask them there. Unless someone else on this forum knows the answer.
