Default The Z got new shoes today!

With 17,500 miles on the car I got so sick of the loud rumbling and shaking of my dash from tire feathering. Also after repeated attempts to get some compensation from Nissan they wouldn't budge. I went out and bought some bfgoodrich g-force kdw's. They grip like hell and I love the exotic look. I'm so happy

i just picked up the same tires and so far I really like the ride quality over the crappy Potenza's. Haven't really tested the grip yet, but looking forward to it. The tread pattern is super cool, its one of the reason's why I picked them.

Sneakers!

They look nice on the stock rims. What do they cost? I have about 1 month for the snow to melt enough to get over to Nissan for my feathering. After that, the two year warranty is up!

What dealership do you use and how was the service?

Tires look great, let us know how you like them with some miles on them.

For a minute, I thought you were nucking futs to be putting those on in this weather, but then I saw you're down south. I was browsing through tirerack the other day and those tires caught my attention. Im definately gona get them once this nasty weather passes.

Oh and shoes does make more sense. Rims should be feet, since the shoes are what comes in contact with the ground and it covers your feet/rims.

Haha i'm not sure what it is, but shoes was the first thing that came to mind. I paid 800 for the tires mounted, balanced, plus and alignment and nitrogen instead of air at Costco. They also off lifetime warranty which includes balancing and flat tires. I was really happy with their service there. The Nissan dealer I deal with is Autoway Nissan of Brandon. I hate them with a passion but they're the closest dealership to me. The told me my tire feathering was because of my lack of keeping the tires preasurized. I got tired of fighting and bit the bullet and bought new tires.

I guess rims are shoes.....and tires are those Totes things you see old people wearing over their shoes....you know they are rubber , and provide traction and protection. I guess it's a shoe condom.

Aren't you worried that the feathering problem will come back with your new tires?

I'm going to get an alignment every oil change, after reading feathing threads over and over this supposedly prevents feathering. Plus these tires are a lot harder
