You are, of course, correct. I insulted you without knowing anything about you or your car. I made incorrect assumptions for which I apologize. When I read your post, I thought about some of these drivers we all see that trash really great cars by almost never cleaning them; especially the wheels.
I obviously mis-understood your query to the board members in regard to your wheel situation. Parenthetically, I find myself walking around the car at the end of each day with a cloth cleaning my wheels as well.
In closing I publicly apologize for the mean natured way in which I responded to you. Peace! We all really love our cars; love to talk about, drive, clean, and modd. them as well.
These boards, as well as others are a great place to share info. I had no business posting what I wrote. Thanks for the heads up.
Sincerely,
MJD

I've seen some ads for 'brake dust shields'. What are these things? and do they work?

LOL, Jason thats the dirtiest wheel I've ever seen. The dust is the same from the outside of the lip all the way to the inside.

I have changed disk pads in many cars but this was the easiest change I have ever made.

Naples 176,

How much did those Akebono Ceramic Pads run you each?? Where did you get them...Doesn't sound like something Pep Boys would carry.

Thanks

Uhh Jason,

You hardly EVER wash your Z or clean the wheels?? The CS Z is a beautiful car, dude....Have some pride (Let one of the lackeys at your dealership clean it....yeesh!)

I could NEVER let me CS Z's wheels get that dirty...The dust will F*ck up your rims in time!

It will make your car look like it came with drum brakes. It usually mounts right before the wheel, which cover the brakes.

Default Brake dust

Is it necessary to clean the break dust all the way to the inside of the rim?
