Default oil change

Hi. I just got mine last week and mine was set for 3500 miles so I guess it's correct . Have a good one and don't worry you'll have those miles real soon !

Look in the Maintenance booklet that came with the car.
3750 mi or 3 months.....7500 mi or 6 months... etc.

It pays to read.

I believe it also says in the book somewhere that you should replace the oil and filter after the break-in of 1,200 miles... which ALOT of members here have done.

FWIW, my dealer said specifically that the oil does not need to be changed at 500 miles or 1000 miles or any of the others..he was adamant: 3750 is what Nissan recommends & there's no reason to change the oil any sooner.

Spend the 20 bucks and change the oil now. Think about it. A brand new motor being lubricated with oil contaminated with inordinate amounts of microscopic metal shavings from the initial break-in. At worst you are needlessly spending $20. Seems like an easy decision but that's just me. Enjoy the car.

I don't think it says this in the manual, it says first oil change is at 3750 miles.

Well, I wasn't certain... I thought that I read that... but it might have been on this site, and not he manual.
