Default Delivery Time (Input please)

Almost everyone I hear from on this forum says that it takes a minimum of 90 days for a 350z that is ordered, to arrive. Well I placed the order on December 13th and called today just to make sure that they didn't forget to place the order because that wouldn't be cool. The conversation was vague but he made it sound as though they expected the car to be here this week! This may not sound like too bad of a thing but there are still things I need to do to prepare for the car. Loan, insurance, storage since who knows if there will be more snow. I thought I was going to have at least a month and a half to do this stuff.

I guess my question is did it take less then 90 days for anyone to take delivery? It almost sounded like he needed to here from a woman who worked there to be sure, maybe he said she should be in early this week, I really know know but I'm kind of nervous.

I got my 2004 350Z in about 90 days which is what the dealer told me. Funny thing is that after 60 days I went to the dealer to see how the order was coming & they told me it would be in the port at the end of the week. So they were telling me anytime next week which I didn't believe really either, but turns out it came in about 90 days just like the dealer said from the begining. I have heard some people have waited longer than 3 months, but that was in 2003 and early 2004 years. Good luck

I have no problem waiting. I purposely ordered it when I did so I wouldn't have it until spring time. I almost feel like hes telling me it will be here this week just to make me happy, when I really dont mind waiting. I don't want it this soon. I have a feeling its going to end up like Zcarboy's story, which would be fine.

I have been told once it is in the Port of Newark it can take as long as 4 week before the dealer gets it.

My Z never spent the night at the dealer since I took it home the day the dealer got it. Like someone else said it is worth the wait.

I went to the dealer in Nov. and told them when I wanted to take delivery, in Aprill, to correspond with the end of the snow season. I've stayed in touch and was told a few weeks ago that the order was being placed with "the Februray orders." I was called week before last and advised the ETA is 4/19. So, I expect to have it soon thereafter, which will be just fine.

It's your money and you should expect the dealer to acquiesce with YOUR wishes!
