Again, cash is not better in cases where people have good or even better modest credit. The finance guy can make back end points on the interest rate. Now of course it doesn't make a difference to the salesman, except for maybe some "brownie points" with the finance guy. The finance guy buys @ a different rate then he sells it @, if possible? It's just like anything else, he has to sell it. Now ca$h is good when you have somebody who has bad or no credit, because of course that's the only way to get the sale. Paying cash doesn't necesarily get you a better deal. The dealer makes more money financing the car than he will on a cash deal so he can sell the car lower to someone financing it cause he makes up the difference and more
