05 350z...Fuel Tank + transmission
I recently bought a 05 350z(touring)....filled my 4th tank of gas yesterday...and I was having a hard time filling up past the half a way mark. I noticed the problem on my 3rd tank ...of gas a little..but was like let me see if it happens the next time i fill up...and sure enough it did.
I only have 1250miles on the car.....is there a TBS for this issue on the 05's? As anyone else with 05's experience this as well? As for the tansmission..having a little hard time between 1 and 2...and 2 and 3....

I know the muzzle has to sit at a certain slanted position when filling up gas, I think the owner's manual goes a little more in depth with it. I've been filling up my car at Shell stations, and haven't had the 1/2 gas mark problem yet.
My shifts to 1-2 feels stiff, but it goes into gear. Unless it grinds, than I wouldn't worry about it (Well, that's my moto: If it don't grind its fine). My 2nd to 3rd feels fine, just the intial shock of driving a Z pretty much has worn off.
If there is something wrong at all, than make use of the warranty when the problem props up.

There are plenty of threads concerning the "filling up" problem but there isn't a TSB on it as far as I know. I recently got my 04 and noticed the problem as well. If you pump slowly you won't have a problem. Some stations already pump slow so you won't notice it but at others you will.
Its not you car's fault that the pump is entirely too sensitive.
car holds about 15 gallons. Use the brain that helped you earn the money to pay for the car to calcule what should be in the tank.
1250miles, give it time to break in that heavy beast of a transmission.

a TSB is just a Technical SERVICE bullitin which is an updated document that tells techs how to fix a specific problem.
Recalls or campaigns are and actual recall for defective parts or adjustments
at least thats the way it was when i worked at GM ant trust me there are TONS of them espically in the j body cars ( caverliers, sunbirds ect..)
anyway just thought id clarify that a TSB is NOT a reacall

I don't think is a defect with the car, it's simply the way the tank is designed. Another member said he had a truck that did the same thing, and another said he had an older porsche that had the problem.
