Seriously, rumor has it that there will be a turbo'd version but nothing concrete. The Infiniti GTR will have a twin turbo'd version of the VQ35.

tonio, no one knows that. The options for the engine are VQ35DETT, VQ32DETT, or 4.5/5.6 V8.

I doubt Nissan will EVER do a turbo again on the Z car...you have to change much more than the engine...target market age group, price, etc. They don't want another 300ZX sales repeat.

gotcha nis350ztt, everything I said is speculation Jam but there is a lot of talk about a twin turbo'd GTR from infiniti which looks similar to the current G35. Check out the GTR forum jam and you can see what everyone has been talking about.

It's a different age though.
The last Z was killed by the SUV, along w/ the RX-7 and Supra. Today though, sports cars are in again, and a Turbo Z would sell IMO. They just need to keep the price respectable and as near to $40k as possible.

no offense, but your opinion doesnt matter. what matters is filling market spaces. there will be the skyline to fill the $45,000+ 400hp+ market, while the z will remain bang for the buck. A factory turbo 350z and simultaneous release of an equally as powerful z and skyline would hurt both sides sales. i bet 50% of people on this board wouldnt have bought a 350z if it started at 43,000 turbo'd. Nissan would be much better off with a top of the line car, and an entry level sports car.

I would bet 80-90% of people wouldnt own one. I sure as hell cant afford one in that price range. The 300zxtt died because of price.
