Hey westie,

Where in oz are you from? I'm from Wollongong, I live in Arizona USA now.

How much is the 350Z going for in oz? I heard it was like $60,000 for the base?
I love living in the US
If I were you I'd go for a R34 GTR, you could get one cheaper than a 350Z...I've seen Godzillas for 50k.

Nice to see an Aussie in here. Laters

G'Day all,

First post here and it's not even on the 350Z...

Anyway, synergytheory where did you see an R34 GTR for AUD$50k? I haven't even seen any decent R33s for that price.

Well you might not find an R34 GTR, but go to www.tradingpost.com.au
Click on the NSW section. In keywords, top left. Type Skyline GTR.

I haven't checked in there for like a year, so I dunno whats available now! But in the past I've seen some (what look) nice R33 R34 GTRs.
Americans don't look, you will be highly dissapointed hehe GTRs for 60kAUD (30kUSD) unheard of over here in the US.

I really like the 200SXs you know they don't have them at all in the US? they do, but not the same as the Aussie/Jap200SXs. They are crap! non-turbo, Ford Laser lookalike! check out autotrader.com (put 85259 as zip code) check out the 200SX, they are awful! SO when you say you have a 200SX, make sure you say an Aussie turbo 200SX.

And that ain't a bad price for the track! I don't thik they'll sell many base models if the track is only 6k more.

synergytheory, I've only seen R33 GTRs for that price. The cheapest R34 was a stock '99 for AUD$70k, most seem to sit around AUD$80k Perhaps what you saw was an R34 GTS-T? Doesn't matter, back to the topic at hand.

Glad to see a few fellow Aussies here. Anyone know for sure a date for the 350Z to be available for test drive? I've been driving a turbo MX-5 for 8 years and it's time for a change and I think the Z is it.

BTW last I heard the Australian price hadn't been confirmed yet. I just hope they don't bump it up at the last minute, it seems like good value.

Just a quick follow up...

Dropped by a dealer today and found the following:

1. Prices have been set. Track is ~$72k on road, base was over $60k but I didn't pay that much attention as I'm after a track.

2. Orders are being taken. Non refundable $2500 deposit

3. They're due to arrive mid to late Feb. If you don't preorder one don't expect to get what you're after until April or later

Sorry if that'l all old news.
