Anybody here have a good handle on when the August issues of Road & Track and Car & Driver will be on the news stands ?

 

don't know the date but since I subscribe to it, it will be delivered.

 

I know Motor Trend should be on News Stands July 1st. I subscribe, but I always get mine later. I won't mind having two of the upcoming issue.

 

Let me give you an example. Take car and driver (my favorite mag). They print like 1-2 million every month( just a guess could be more). Now they could print 1-2 million coppies in one day but I'm sure they don't. I guess they take a couple of weeks for all the copies to be printed, mailed or sent to retail outlets. So some people will be getting C&D before others. Can these earley people please post the reviews on the board for us slower people? I get my C&D around the middle of each month and usually see it on the news stand a week earlier. I'm not sure what is posted on the C&D web site in relation to the magazine.

 

I usually get my C&D anywhere from 1 week to 2 full weeks ahead of the release date to the public. I'll post the good stuff as soon as I get it.

Do you guys think the 350Z will be in August or not till September because of the 7/3/02 thing?

If the cars are being tested now, I'd say it should be on the August issue, which comes out in July....
Even a great machine like the Z needs some publicity prior to being introduced to the market.

 

Are we sure a test will be in the next car mags? I subscribe to almost all of them; but, as someone earlier noticed, Nissan's website has turned the clock back to 60 days for intro. Will the mags wait a month since it will probably be 2 months from now?

This is making me even crazier than I am usually. However, my salesman says I will get the car in August because I was one of the first 4 people to order on their first allotment. He's never lied to me before, so I hope he's right.
