Default Passenger window won't go back up!!!

I just drove my 2003 350z today to my gf's house, and I lowered both windows.

I raised them both back up, and I noticed the passenger's was down.

It wouldn't go back up at all.

I took apart the entire door and there was nothing wrong visibly. So I put it back together.

The window went up just up to the top of the door and goes back down.

I noticed after driving through a lot of rain, that the window went up very slowly 1/4 of the way and then went back down.

Now it just moves to the top of the door again.

I have 37.8K on the car and my warranty is up.

What should I do?

Either your window motor or regulator is malfunctioning. There is a TSB for the part, though that doesn't do you much good.

Maybe you accidently pressed the child safety button not to allow the passenger's side window not to operate. Press it and then try using your window again.

I tried the child safety switch. No luck.

My driver's side window sometimes won't go up. It would go up a little and go back down. I just turned off the engine, turned it back on, opened the door, slammed it shut, and it rolled back up. Percussive maintenance is universal

That happened to me twice. Took it to Nissan and they said the window motor died. They fixed it both times under warranty.

my drivers side window has done this since 15k miles(i am now at 35k miles). I have had it fixed many times but without success, new motors and resetting the motors. I think what needs to be done is to have the fine adjustments fixed so that the window doesn't try and close higher than it should...thats what is causing it to rebound when it gets to the top, it thinks there is something in the way. My window also makes a loud clunk when i open it all the way.. The way that i keep the window closed is to hold the button to the close position for about 8 seconds then it stays up.

My passenger side window used to get stuck in the open position. I took it to the dealer and they said it was a faulty switch and not the window motor. They replaced it under warranty and it's been fine since.

My drivers side window sometimes opens when I close the door. Also when I close it using the auto feature. Time to visit the dealer.

This is ridiculous. I just had it fixed and it costed $422 dollars.

To replace the right regulator................

Given the cost of something as simple as a window motor makes a strong case for extended warranties. Look at it this way - it's cheaper than insurance and it is almost guaranteed that you will use it. Nothing lasts forever.
