350Z T-Top?
Been a while since I've been here so forgive me if this question has been asked before...
Any chance of Nissan bringing a T-Top feature to the Z in the future?
While I'm here...people with the latest Z's with 300hp...any real difference in power/feel?
Thanks!

I hope so! This is my 3rd Z. I loved the "T's" even though I rarely removed them.
As for the 35th, I've heard / read there's not a hu7ge difference with the 300 bhp due to less torque. But I've not driven one so I can't really say first hand.

Don't think they'll do it this time around. It would simply compromise the Z's currently rigid framework design. Also, I would have to agree with Masterfulks that it would pull sales from the ZR's.
I'd love a Targa top, but I know the history of the Z lies with T-Tops. Wouldn't complain about that either.
As for the 300 hp engine, it should have better mid-rang and top end due to the increased hp and redline, but will probably suffer a slight loss in low-end. Would you notice a difference in either car? Probably not.

As a Roadster owner, I love how the top just rips down in seconds...much faster than my last car, a 1996 BMW 328IC convertible. A T-top sounds like too much work. I guess I'd buy a T-top if Nissan didn't offer the Roadster. At this point, it would be a redundant move by Nissan and hurt Roadster sales. BTW, my Roadster is unusually rigid for a convertible (unlike my BMW, which shook like crazy when I hit a bump).
Hmm..I'm assuming you meant '80s' in a negative way?
To each his own I guess....a friend had a 95ish MR2 Turbo TTop pushing around 275-300hp...man was that thing a blast and there's nothing like hearing the wind and that sweet exhaust note bouncing off other cars, freeway walls, etc.
Who wouldn't love a roadster though, especially here in sunny Phoenix, but I just can't stand the thought of paying a lot MORE for the model that I liked second best (to the coupe) and coming out from home/work to find it in the driveway with a huge slash in the top because some punk wanted my cell phone or a $200 cd player.
Did I mention I prefer the coupe?
Ok, I'm done. Thanks for the input.

A targa top or t-top will never happen as long as the 350Z has the current design. Don't expect anyone want to try it either, we have tried about 10 times to get people to commit $2-5k to get a shop in Cali that does a LOT of CUSTOM extreme car modification and make it work for a daily driver...no luck. We had to get like 10 people or something, and you would ship your car in a trailer...won't ever happen unless you do it youself and pay the full $5k (it would have been cheaper if more would have gotten it done).
