Default Headlight Cover Clouding...

One of my headlight covers is starting to cloud on the inside. Anyone else have this problem?

Jim,
I had this occur on one of my cars in the past. Go out and look at the headlight in the early morning and see if there is condensation inside of it. On the car that I had, there was one headlight that did in the mornings, and one that didn't. The one with the condensation ended up clouding over. I am not sure however if there is anything that can be done about moisture inside the headlight casing though Maybe someone else can give some more insight!

This happens to my 03 CS, and after living with it for 1 year, i finally tried to wax it. It works for me, maybe you guys should try to wax it off, mine comes off, but u gotta do it with some strength.

RXZ...it doesn't look like moisture. It looks like something is happening to the plastic.

KIKILALA825...the condition is on the inside of the cover and thus, waxing won't help.

There are two Nissan TSBs related to this problem. First, read this one to determine if you have a true internal fogging problem:

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB03-051.htm

It's very possible the fogging is on the outside and you just can't clean it off, making it seem like it's on the inside. If that's the case, check out 3M Plastic Polish, as mentioned in this TSB:

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../NTB02-053.htm

Mine were doing the same. Some here in Dallas told me I should take it in to the dealership. Sure enough, I took it in and the dealership switched out the headlight housings no questions asked.

At first i thought it is forming from the inside too, so i don't even bother to wax it. But after my friend convince me, i finally tried to wax it, and it did come off. Wax won't take u lotta time, mind as well try it, yah?
