Default Front brake pads gone at 22K

A friend had the front tires replaced at nissan for feathering and was told that his front pads are 95% gone. He seldon drives it hard. I suggested that he pull a wheel and see for himself. Anyone else having this issue. Recommendations for replacement pads for good stopping with little dust appreciated.

22k doesnt sound unreasonable to me for a sports car, but *shrug*. Tell him to go ahead and check it I guess, should only take a few mins.

As for no dust, go ceramic. Or whatever those greenstuff(?) pads are.

I'm thinking my pads are just about gone at 12K and I don't really drive hard. I'm getting some really bad squeeking. I'm having the dealership check them out this week during an oil change. It doesn't seem right to need to replace them this quickly.

thats pretty good... Just replace with a better brand and you will get no more dust... I can't wait for my oem tires and brakes to wear out so I can get better ones.

I was thinking about going with the stoptech stage 2 brake upgrade, but I might just get the pads replaced with hawks all around

My front pads were gone at 12k miles. So don't feel bad. I have HPS Hawks front and rear. Stops like a race car but sometimes squeaks. Less dust than OEM pads.

my friends stock pads on his non brembo 350z chewed his rotors badly.. he turned the rotors and threw on a set of endless sss pads.. Afterwards.. less brake dust and ultra rotor friendly as well as being able to stop a whole lot better.
