Default 350Z 35th anniversary edition higher redline?

Does anyone know what they did to the 35th anniversary edition Z to make it redline higher? New cams or more then that?

Yeah I tried as well, the search button is a PITA and doesnt produce proper results, hang on.

Basically the ECU was changed and different cams. Redline is at 7000 RPM

engine also has different rods and rod bolts - that's key for reving to 7200

The new redline is 7000. not 7200. They changed a lot of parts out on the new engine. New ECU, cams, CVT on exhaust cam, internals, etc.

It's a Track model, not a Drag model...

I backed out - I know, kinda sucks

I'm getting married and she's not able to work right now cause of health issues.

that and I'm thinking I'll probably end up wanting an exige or noble over the elise

so for now, that's freed up some money to use on my Z...

I know about how magazines dont mean much in the real world but I just dont see the extra money for 13hp to the crank

I'd be surprised if you found a single 35th or Track owner that bought the car solely because of the 13hp. I would have bought it, and paid the same $ for it if it had 287hp.There are plenty of other features that make it worth the extra few bucks. The Brembos, for example... The revised engine is icing on the cake...

I was really looking forward to a write-up and pics. Now who am I supposed to live vicariously through? :P The only thing deterring me from trying to get one is that it's REALLY tiny. 90 inch wheelbase makes it look almost like a toy. Which I guess is it's primary use! haha.

Sorry I wont hijack anymore :P
