A post about using the search function
I've only been on the forum for a couple of months. I constantly read posts where some smartass has to say, "use the search function". Sure, people get tired of reading the same (sometimes stupid) questions, but hey, don't read them if you don't want to help.
There are some posts about things I would have never even thought to search on or even had interest in, but after someone created a new thread about it, I read it and learned something new about my car. Had they used the search function and found the answer, I never would have known about an issue, fix, etc.
I use the search function most of the time before asking a question and certainly look up things in the owners manual prior to posting. But there are times when you have a very specific question that previous posts didn't cover. Or, there is so much information on that subject it would take a week to read it all. Especially when so many post "yeah, +1 ".
So while you might get tired of reading the same posts day in and day out, cut some of the newbees a little slack.

if i read another thread like "Which CAI is the best?" or "Which exhaust is the best?" or "Do the 04s have feathering?" i might just burst into flames. It just clutters the board with info that has been spewed out over and over. The fact is in those threads the people who know what their talking about dont respond because they have responded 20x before to that same thread.
