350ZR Marketing Call
Hi guys,
Did any of you guys get a call from a marketing firm about your Z? They left me a message at my work saying they will pay $200 for 2 hours for my survey on their marketing research on my 350ZR. I don't know how they got my work number, my car is stock. Maybe dealer gave it to them but I haven't called them back yet.
Was just wondering if anybody got the same call or know of anything about it???
Thanks in advance.

i don't know. I'd be damned careful with what kind of info you give them. heck, i'd even tell them they can send the check to my work address if they don't have my home address on file.
And what the heck would take 2 hours?? Unless you have to drive somewhere.

Sounds like a focus group to me. I used to work for a company that did them. They basically get you through a questionnaire and if you fit the demographics, they get you into a room with other Z owners and a moderator. Depending on the products, they can take from 30 mins to 4 hours and usually pay well.
We used to do them for all kinds of products, from sliced bread to sports cars. They don't really ask much info and the ones I did I got paid cash. It's fun too because you have a real impact on the future of the product.

i did one of those for mitsubishi.
spent 3 hours at some convention center looking at all sorts of cars.
it was easy money, just had to tell them what i liked and disliked and why.

Yeah this thing is on the up and up. Im scheduled to do my two hours next Wed. the place is called Assistance in Marketing. After I bought my car I recieved a survey. About two months after I filled it out I recieved a phone call that was kind of an interview on how I felt about my car. Then they offered to let me go in and make $200 bucks.........Im in the area anyway so Im thinking what the hell easy money right?

do it!
In high school I got a call from the University of Michigan asking if I would like to fill out a survey about my lifestyle. I second guessed it at first and thought about how bad demographics are around here as it is, but I opted to give it a shot and help the guys out. About three weeks later I got a *150* question survey in the mail and it took me nearly 30 minutes to fill the damn thing out. About 3 weeks after mailing it in I received a $75 check in the mail.
Since then, I've received three more similar surveys and received $75 checks for them all. It can't hurt.

I got a call from a group about a week and a half ago. I didn't know if it was on the up and up. So I sort of blew it off. But before I did, I went ahead and took down some info from them. They wanted 350Z Coupe owners between the ages of 30 and 35. I'm only 27, but she said that she would try to fit me in if I called back. I guess I'll call back on Monday. I think they said they were only offering $175 for 3 hours.
