Question Insurance Rates

Hi guys, I just joined this forum and I did some searches on insurance rates for the 350Z, but I wasn't able to find information on actual rates in New Jersey (crazy place). Can anyone give me a headsup on insurance for a 350Z, enthusiast, Le Mans sunset. Ill be 18, no accidents, no tickets.

I'm 30, no accidents, and I pay around $1,800 in Morris County. I would imagine the fact that you're 18 will make your premium signifigantly higher.

From what I've seen others post about, you can expect at least $2k/year at a minimum.

Me = 30 yrs old. Married. Oregon. Spotless record. 3-vehicle policy. approx $1k/year

For you with full covereage in NJ, I'd say at least $4k-5k. In Hudson county, my Prelude would've cost $5k/yr and thats no accidents/tickets and full coverage.

It depends on a few things. Will you be on your own plan or your parents plan? I just got my z and I was going to put it on my own plan because im 19 and probably moving out in a year or so, but they said my insurance would be 5,500 for a year. I have 1 point. I decided to stay on my parents plan and its 1,800 a year, full coverage, with allstate.

My advice to you is to try and get it under your parents' name, because you'll get raped on insurance. I'm not joking, the insurance agent will come to you house and literally rape you, and then charge your high rates for your insurance...especially on a Z. I'm 22 and for the Accord I own, not the Z, not a sports car, it's the 4 cylinder sedan, I'm getting reamed in the *** on the insurance... Don't get me started on the Z...your payments on insurance, if under your name might be higher than your monthly car payments (assuming you don't have the cold hard cash to just plop on a new Z)

If you think you can get your parents to put it under their name, then see what they have to say about it. Geico is coming to the area so you can see what's up with them, I don't know if they're offering quotes online though...never checked

Which providers did you check out?

Jersey insurance is highway robbery...

im 21 and i pay 250 a month... the trick is going with a no name insurance company
the big guys will take you for everything you have. i think Progressive quoted me at
like 510 a month i told the guy yeah right my car payments only 200 a month. Good luck
oh and the name of my off brand insurance company is called Smiley insurance co. i dont know if they cover in NJ but they proved themselves to me and ive only used them for one small fender bender.
