Get whatever makes you happy... decide what you want in a car and whichever one fits the bill is the one for you.

In my situation the 350Z made me happy. You're probably going to find that concensus here as it is a 350Z forum.

I got the 350 cause I liked the car, a lot. I live in a small town as well and there are like 5 other Z's in my town, but you know something.... I could care less, my car looks totally different than any of the other Z's in town. Therefor, I am different. Also there are a lot of 350's made, and there are a lot of XLR's made so if you do not build your own car from scratch, your really not all the unique, unless of course you mod the car the way you want it, then no one can say a word to you because it is how you want it, and chances are it's different from most others out there.

350Z , XLR is nice. You can make your Z look however you want. There is so much you can do to the 350Z vs XLR. Put 7k that you would have paid extra for the cadi on your Z.

I believe you will find this forum slightly biased. If you are looking for a Z there really are not a lot of cars the are a direct comparison. Many are close but will have subtle differences. I wanted the best performing, best looking, and best priced 2 seater sports car on the market and the Z fits the bill IMHO.

That XLR is awesome! The best thing about the Z though is it's extreme "modability". There are so many ways to customize a Z.

Hey Wookie!! I see you are in Azerbaijan. I am an American but work in Baku, Azerbaijan. I am offshore Baku right now. With all the crap russian Ladas driving around, you could buy a new VW Beetle and be different in Azerbaijan. You will be notices for sure in the Z. I think Baku has almost 6-8 million people living here and my guess is that there are about 4 350Z total. Dont think you will run into another one. hahaha Your roads are terrible around the city and on the limited highways you have here, so be carefull with any car that has low profile tires. I would reccomend the Nissan 350 for you over the Caddie though. 28-30 mpg would be nice in your country with the price of petrol. Can I ask what kind of work you do? Only asking because the average wage amongs the local guys I work with is less than 550 US $ a month. I really love your country Wookie. Most people are really friendly and I like climate.

YOU are buying the car for YOURSELF. not to please others. If it pleases you, then get it. If not, get the caddy.

the car doesn't make you. You make the car.

just my 2 cents.

Default speed

Hey Wookie, I didnt realize you wanted strait speed. If speed is what you want, Do not get the 350Z. You will get smoked by the Corvette, BMW 6 series, Caddie, BMW m3, m5, and your old amg55. I love the Z though, Awesome car in my opinion.BEN

why is the xlr so cheap over there?? (60k??) Is it used? late model? Those caddies are about 80k here, which is why they are so rare. Maybe you are talking about the CTS-V?

bstansbu well hmm i liked 350z coz its really nice car , nissan designers worked well , but for some reason nissan have no respect in our country becuz of 98-99 maxima's , ppl say it was shitty car so nissan is, they are dumb

but now im not sure but im thinking why taking slower car than i had ( clk500 - not sue mayb 350z faster ,sl55 amg)

btw i just checked price for Chevrolet Corvette c06 and its around 60.000$~ ( there is already one red colored in our town ) so not sure ( if to get prolly black one )
i tryed Dodge Viper but there no automatic option for it and price is a bit high ( no auto means ull never sell it to anyone )

damned im lost

How about you get a 350Z and slap on a bodykit, Twin Turbo, and some fat, sticky tires and you'll be able to smoke most of those cars, and you will look a lot better

Exactly. The Z is the hotest sports car in the $30K range and has solid performance IMO.

I agree. Some things to consider,

1. How many girls can I get with this car and how hot will they be?

2. Will I still enjoy the car 5 years down the line?

3. How will I feel when a new model comes out that makes the old model look outdated?

4. How important is performance compared to price?

5. Is a two door sports car going to be very practical with a wife and kids?
