Default Ticking??

Never really got to introduce myself really. Kinda new here, former owner of a Prelude and got a pretty good deal on a DB 03 Touring Z. After doing some researching on here and seeing that other Z owners were getting noises that I had. Brought my car in to the dealership and got my tranny and clutch replaced about a month ago. The noise still exist... I haven't brought it back because I'm in school was going to wait until the summer time to bring it back because having a vehicle won't be as necessary. Before the tranny was replaced, I would get a ticking coming from the rear when I left off of the cluth. This was pointed out to me by my best friend the first day I actually got the car. I was also having the rattling noise coming from the transmission and the chatter noise when I turn the car off (sounds bad). That noise is still there but the ticking seems to have gotten worse. I can even hear it ticking shifting into 3rd... sometimes I don't even have to shift into a gear. I could be cruising in 2nd and give it a little more gas and it will tick. I wasn't exactly sure on what to search for, most of the time I got threads from ticking from the engine bay. Which I get that too, I'm guessing the lifters from a cold start. Does anyone experience this noise? BTW, the first time I went to the dealership, they had a technician riding with me and he swore he didn't hear the ticking...

Thanks in advance for any input

that is the springs in the clutch plate. you will not be able to get rid of it. maybe with a high performance clutch. I have had it more or less with many cars. It is not causing any harm. I would not worry about it.

Tell the dealership about the bulletin for the rear cv joints and wheel bearings. They should know this already. That is probably what the noise is. The bulletin replaces both cv joints and both wheel bearings in the rear.

About the chattering when you shut down the car. Engage the clutch when you turn it off and it goes away. Here is the link:

The rear end clicking is a common problem. My dealership fixed mine.

As others have stated, there is a TSB out for the Rear axles clicking. Bolt retorquing is called for initially and axle replacement if warranted. As for under hood noises, it's either valve-slap, or, in my case, at operating temperature, I get injector firing noise. Was concerned about it at first, but have been assured that it's normal.
