um not really. most rx-7s weigh in about 2800 lbs, the base being the lighest and the touring which is the heaviest because of sun roof, bose sound system and other misc items. These were for the 93-95 versions. As time went on with the most recent rx-7s they got better more efficient and reliable turbos, better piping making them a lot quicker and giving them the ability to run high 12 and low 13 second time slips

The base model was 2789lbs, the R models were 2800 even, and the Touring were over 2800lbs (I don't remember exactly how much). This was for all 93-95 RX-7s, it didn't change during that time.

For really whacky sequential turbos, take a look at the stock 20B-REW (JDM three rotor). It has a fat man/little boy configuration. The BIG one comes online FIRST, and is fed by all three rotors, then the little one is brought online from only the rear rotor, and the front two rotors run the big turbo.
