Default My a** is burning!!

Had my Z for about a week now...Driving around Dallas during summertime in 100+ degree weather, and my elbow keeps flipping the seatwarmer switch!! (I usually drive in traffic so, I keep my hand on the shifter and my elbow naturally rests on the switch). Wouldn't really mind if it didn't take so long for the seat to cool off! Am I alone on this one?

You have to get use to how weird the Z is like that, just rest your arm on the handbrake. Thats what i do.

Maybe I should make some small panels to fit and cover the switches, and then you can flip it open to hit them and close it back.

I dont really have this problem but I would imagine if you really had a problem with the seat heaters you should just disconnect them via the wires under the seat. Just my 2 cents.

I know what you mean man. If I have someone in the passenger seat I'll be complaining to them about how damn hot it is in the car, and when they tell me it feels fine then I know what's wrong.

I had the same pb and found a quick solution. I moved both switches on the next available slot (the one on the right.) that help...I now rarely inadvertently turn the switch on...Give it a shot...

My elbow is no where near the switch! It sits on the storage box (past the button to open it) with my hand on the gear shift

How small are everyone's feet??? (cuz the distance from the inside of your elbow to your wrist is the length of your foot)

Happened to me a bunch of times when I first got the Z. So when I put in my sound system, I also moved over the driver side heat warmer switch to the center and the non switch cover on the left.

Very easy to do. Only problem - it is a hassel to remove the lower center consule. You basically have to remove most of the plastic panels if you want to avoid bending the plastic pieces. So, if you do decide to move over the switch consider doing other things while you got the plastic panelling off (i.e dynamatting)

This happens to me all the time... I'm now paraniod about it. I'll be driving down the road with the A/C on full blast (It's just as hot in MS) and all of a sudden I my back and butt start sweating... You would think they could have found a better place for these buttons.

It has happened to me opnce where I inadvertently hit the hazards and didn't know it. I was driving down the road like a fool with my flashers on. Between the soft blinker noise and the tiny little blinker bubbles its hard to tell...

A+ for Japanese engineering and button placement!

i hit that button every once in a while but my elbow lines up perfectly with the button for the storage compartment. i always feel it pop up a little and on the next shift it will be blocking my arm. i just try to rest it on the e brake arm.
