Default Light 'creakin' from rear

I have a light creaking noise coming from the rear hatch. I hear it every day but it only happens in the first 30-60 seconds of driving after the car has been sitting for a few hours. I will hear the noise when going over any kind of bump or undulation in the road. I have an uphill speed bump exiting my garage and I also hear the noise as soon as I dip the clutch to go over the speed bump.
It's weird......sounds like it might be coming from the strut tower in the rear because it's more a plastic/aluminum type of creaking than a metal clunking. Car is a year old with 20k. The noise has been there a few months now.

Anyone got any ideas before I take it in for the next service?

it's probably the rear axle. There is an issue with the 350z re: the rear axle clicking noise, there is a TSB out for it.

Default Creakin' from rear hatch

Thanks for the responses but I don't think it can be related to the rear axle. If this was the case, I would have expected to here the noise also on smooth pavement. The creaky noise is only there when I go over a bump or uneven section of road. Therefore, it would appear to be suspension related. Definitely sounds like it's coming from the rear strut beam.

I also have that same creakin noise as well. I also hear mine as I'm going over speed bumps in my parking garage. Could this be the rear axle? Mine sounds more plastic than anything as well. I thought it might be the foam padding that is in the spare tire area, but I can't confirm that while driving. Anyone know what causes that noise???

Could be the rear strut brace moving inside the decorative Z cover. I hear this when I'm going up a driveway at an angle.

I also have the rear axle click, it's being done on monday the 27th

Yip, I think you could be right about the strut brace moving or rubbing against the plastic silver "Z" cover. Do you know how to remove the cover so I can take a look inside?

The plastic pieces just snap together. Remove the two upper covers on each side of the silver piece, then you will see the logical order. I have a "buzz" that only seem to happen when it is cold. I removed the strut cover, but it still occurred. I'll keep trying.
