Did I get a good deal???
I just ordered my Z last weekend after contemplating between the Z and S2000. Both great cars. I got the Perfomance edition. I Paid MSRP+Trunk Mat+Floor Mat+Side/Head Airbag+Alum. Sills+Splash Guards. All this plus tax, reg, dealer fee of 399, and destination. Is this good or could I have done better.
Also for some reason the dealer told me that I could not order the car without the trunk/floor mat and splash guards that it came with every Z.

Yeah, I knew that. Only thing was first dealer i went wanted about 500 dealer fee. Instead I found a place where i can get the car in 6 weeks rather than wait to March. It just seems that the dealers were all very firm on the dealer fees. They actually reduced the dealer fee for me. but would do nothing as far as giving me any gifts say floor mats or extended serve or free service.

You don't have to order the mats but the dealer is trying to maximize their profit by forcing all options since they can't mark them up like other cars by charging thousands over MSRP, you were not taken you got about as good a deal as you will find, 399 in a 30K+ car is negligable, don't worry just enjoy the hell out of the car I know I have for the past 3 months.

At first I went to Coral Springs Nissan but they did not want to work with me as far as dealer fees go. Plus the car would be here in March. I called around and all were able to offer me MSRP after making sure I was a serious buyer. Can't believe some are still charging $5000 over sticker. Anyways I wound up ordering from Platation Nissan/Volvo. They reduced the dealer fee for me and they said they could get my car and color by teh 2nd week of January. Where did you buy yours?

I got mine at Palm Nissan in West Palm Beach, that was an experience in itself but I was one of the first if not first to order back in February, so I think they have calmed down since then.

i got mine at maroone nissan of miami its in the heart of coral gables looks like an exotic dealership and all they sell are nissans. anyways best experience i ever had buying a car they gave me the car before my loan was aproved walked out the door didnt have a loan till december nearly 1 month after. my first payment aint till january 9th thats 2 months of rolling around with no paymets. lol anyways great salesman great buisness manager very happy was only place at the time selling at msrp around here like i said only paid those 399 but i ddint even ask to remove it. dealers around here were chargin 29500 for a base 350 z. im sure if you look around now down here south youll get one at msrp without the charges they are starting to come in but like i said 399 aint bad at all

forgot to mention that the reason i had no loan for a month was because i got a peoplesfirst blank check online. and they spend all that time trying to beat the rate they gave me. my family bought 5 new cars this year all with online loans and they all gave beef about the online loans except 2 dealers. and those 2 places i will buy again in the future.
my wifes 2002 Honda CR-V
and my 350z best friendly dealers i have ever been too

I was real close to signing the papers at Maroone nissan on in coral gables the other day, but the payments would have still come out a bit higher than i was willing to pay. I want to put a really big down payment to lower my monthly payments. The guy i talked to told me MSRP and 3 months wait. He didn't mention anything about dealer fee, or options. Either way, its not that bad. Bill Ussery nissan wanted $45K for a Touring they had. The guy said its just "Supply and Demand." ******* in my opinion.

Yeah, never a penny over MSRP. In the very begining I can see some charging a premium when dealers were fulfilling pre-orders but some are charging over on cars that were to be ordered. It really is insane.
