Default advice on this deal

Thinking of buying this Z tomorrow...2003 touring, just about perfect condition. I'm putting 2500 down and trading a car which i got 2750 for...then remaining OTD balance is 22481...good deal or should i hold out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I can't wait to be a Z owner.

Check all of the things bixby is talking about in the following thread before you consider buying the car.

How many miles on this 2003 Touring and what is the selling price before trade/down payment? IMO your OTD after your total of $5250 down is too high for a pre-owned 2003 unless this Z is immaculate with under 10,000 miles.

unless you are intent on getting a touring, you can get an 05 base OTD for the same. that is exactly what i did here in FL.

$25K for an '03 with 29K miles??

NO WAY!

I've probably posted this 2 dozen times, but I bought an '04 Touring with 9K miles for $26K over 4 months ago. Now, granted, I'll admit that you will pay a little more in Florida for a sportscar, but not THAT much more. Hell, it would be worth your time to fly up north and drive one back down if the difference is that severe.

I say save a bit more money and get a NEW 05.
I got my 05 for 29,000 OTD, which is not too much
more than the car you're looking at. If I can do it, you can do it also.
I'm a terrible negotiator lol.

it's a good time to buy at the end of the month...usually dealers are scambling trying to keep their quotas...my best advice is know that they will try their best to get that car out of the lot...use this to your advantage and play the game

I have a 2003 Touring 6MT in Lemans Sunset with 30,000 miles for $23,000. It is a CPO vehicle (Certified Pre-Owned). Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for all the input, but after a lot of research and interest talk with my bank it would cost me the same each month, maybe even cheaper to get a new 05 enthusiast model then the 03 touring...Thanks for all the help

That's a better deal for you... buy new for the same monthly payments.

I say you can do better than that. I got an '05 Enthusiast for 27k even with no money down and my payments are under $600. For 2g or so more you can get one brand new.

Hmmmm 27k for a Enthus AT sounds kinda hard. BUT. . . . . you may be able to wheel and deal a little bit. The ones that I saw where for 29995 so I probably could have gotten that for 28.5. With a downpayment, I don't see why not. I say you should try checking the online prices of a place you want to visit first, and bring in a print out. When you get there don't let them know you have a downpayment! Deal without letting them know you have the downpayment first, and then after you deal that out good, slap that in their face for a better deal! Or save that money for MODS!

Yeah, that's a bit of a high price for that one. Keep looking. I know it's hard but you can get a better deal. Check values at kbb.com or nada.com
