Default question please input

Hey whats up guys my car grinds from 1st to 2nd and only at redline and I want to know what I could do about this. I went to performance and Javier the service rep has never heard of this he said he is familiar with the grind but that it happens during normal driving. I wanted to know if there is anything I could tell him or show him. I'm going down there tommorrow so I want to know what to do thanks alot guys.

Gilbert

P.S. I make sure my clutch touches the floor when shifting sio its definately not me.

Just get him in the car with you and replicate it. Are you sure you aren't just letting off the clutch too early and grinding them? Or is it a clanking noise, because that's just the transmission.

Take it to the dealership and get the tech in the car with you. Once they hear it they will probably know what it is.

Just an idea but, do you have a floor mat that may be preventing the clutch pedal from going the whole way down?

Did you go today or are you going there tomorrow Tuesday? Well on my previous Z I had plenty of tranny issues and can recognize the issue. Let me know what time you will be there since I need to pick up my Z and I will hear it for you if you like. On this Z I dont have any which Im happy about. By the way, Javier, is not just a rep he is the Service Manager and he is great when it come to pinpointing an issue. Sometimes you just need to give them time. By all means ask him to drive with you and show him the issue so he can discuss it with his techs. The 2 techs that are extremely good are Jeff and Leo, you can ask to test drive with them also. They have practically heard every story in the book.

One time my car kept turning off on me while driving. I was so scared the engine was having issues..........so I walk in upset and I runned into Tony from parts and without them even opening the hood they said your Pop Charger has fallen off, I was like no way. We went outside and yes the Filter of the Pop Charger was at the bottom of the engine.

They know their stuff.

^^
thanks alot for your input but I was going today but couldnt because of work I will be going tommorrow wednesday instead. I know Javier is a good guy hes helped me out before but I also asked him if the window motors and dripping rear squirter could be replaced because there was a tsb on them and he said he didnt know. He also said that he has never heard the 1st to 2nd shift grind at redline when plenty forum members have it. Also it doesnt happen all the time only sometimes so I dont want to give them a ride because what if it doesnt happen. I know I'm a good driver and its definately not me I make sure the clutch touches the floor and gear goes all the way in then I release. Plus this couldnt be an issue because I moved the engagement point on the clutch a little higher.

Thanks
