3.39 for Premium here, although West Coast is supposed to have an adequate supply.

I think we should keep this thread going, then look back on it in about 3 months and see that gas has gone up 32 bucks

Can y'all put some gas in cans and send it to me? Can't get it here unless you happen to be driving by a station when the delivery truck comes. Some people just park at the pump in the morning and hope that a truck will come...eventually.

::gag:: $78??? Wow, I can't even imagine that! I had a bit more than 1/4 tank on Friday, and it cost me $30 to fill up at $3.21/gal. Still can't make me buy a hybrid! lol

You know what's even sadder? I PREFER to drive my V-8, gas-guzzling Silverado on a day-to-day basis so I can save the Z for the weekends and roadtrips. You wanna imagine what that's costing me? $6/day just to get to and from work. Crap, I never did the math before. This sucks. Maybe I should have bought another motorcycle instead of a Z and used that for commuting.

i filled up the day before katrina hit the gulf @2.79 for 93 octane....3 days later it was up to 3.79...what makes fuel cost so much in the u.s is taxes and additives that the epa requires for cleaner burning. also if you go to the department of energys web site you will find out that 40 to 45% of the oil we consume comes from the gulf. the problem is that there is so many retstrictions on clean burning fuel that know one wants to build more refinerys. if you crack open a motor that has lets say 50000 miles on the odometer today it would be pretty clean, but 10yrs ago if you did this the motor would be covered in carbon deposits. lets save the trees..
