First day with my new Z= multiple injuries
Just picked up a 2003 silver enthusiast Z with 10K miles. Aside from the steering pulling hard to the right, it seems to be a great car. I am hoping that new wheels, tires, springs, and an alignment will cure the pull.
Anyhow, as I was getting in the car about to drive away, I whacked my right knee HARD on the contour of the door panel.
Then when I got home, I was unloading some stuff I pulled from my old car out of the hatch area. Well, apparently the hatch hadn't opened up completely because when I stood up I smashed the back of my skull on the tailgate latch. It honestly knocked me out cold for about 10 seconds, I think. There is a giant lump on the back of my head like they get in cartoons.
My mom then came over and decided she wanted to drive it. After a quick spin around the block, I tried to get back in the car and she had pulled the seat so far forward that I smashed my knee AGAIN into the steering wheel.
Injuries aside, I hope to overcome "newbie" status fairly quickly. I'm a long-time Maxima.orger and it is weird having to start from scratch again with modding knowledge.

Whew, I thought I was going to open up a "I crashed my Z the first time out" story.
You'll get used to it, and one good drive down a twisty road will make you forget all about it.

Welcome.
If your car stills pulls to the right after an alignment, have Nissan do the following technical service bulletin on your car. I just did it and it cured the problem:

The repair is free.

Ahh... young grasshoper. I too am a former max.orger. You will learn the ways of the Z shortly. Give it a little time... You will also catch the mod bug again shortly and stock z's will begin looking like crap along w/ the old max u used to drive as well. Eventually the glitz of the Z will too wear off and it will be just another car until u mod it up. Enjoy.
