Default explain to me this feeling.

Ok, my car is stock, stock potenzas, AT enthuiast.

Any ways im doing straight highway driveing, its hot that day maybe 100 degrees, going about 75-80 cuz im trying to get my dad to hospital in time for his apointment.

I get this feeling at the back of my tires, as if there rideing on water, slowly moveing to the left and the right, and im going in a straight line.

This wasnt a massive feeling, but i felt it, swaying in teh back in.

Also it happen twice actualy, both different directions and i believe same parts of the road, not quite close but in the same town.

Any idea what went on, this is the first time i ever felt this, didnt like it, normaly i feel a extreme grip.

Could this explain what you're seeing/feeling?

also if your z hits small repeated bumps in the road or lumps for lack of a better term it causes the rear to bounce kindof awkwardly in the Z. Kindof freaky.

It's most likely the bumps in the road and the road not being smooth. You can feel your sways kick in here and there depending upon rough road conditions and when you corner hard.

Front to rear stagger + ruts = Swaying Feeling

or, if you like;

FTRS + R = SF

Yeah, noticed it myself on a road I travel a lot. Caught the light shadows and noticed some ruts. Went just left of the normally traveled track, out of the ruts, and the feeling went away.

And what is it with that feeling when you hit the bump and expect your car is going to go sideways? It only happens on sharp bumps, such as an area that has been cut perpendicular to the roadway for a sewer line intall. Short but sharp, ya know? It is a bit unsettling to say the least.

But, heck...I'm driving a Z!

yes i think Tramlining is what i felt or so i hope. front was ok, but back defintly felt like i wanted to give out but wasnt, i just held it straight and i was fine but i was definly aware of it.

Tire preasure is normal, it happen to be at 38psi that day becuase of the heat. when i get into the car now its night it should be at about 35psi

I wondering if it was an earthquake! ha ha. I have no idea what it was for me, it did it nearly the whole ride home one night (about an hour drive). I got worried a few times and nearly pulled over to check it out. It felt like I only had one bolt holding each wheel in place! The car wouldnt go straight, It kept swaying...I had to either steer to the left or right constantly to try to stay in my lane.

By the time I got home, I was worn out lol! It was the longest hour drive in my life from fighting with the wheel.

After I got home, I checked tire pressure and bolts. Everything was fine!

Has not done this since that one day

its POSSIBLE it was a earth quake but it only felt from the back ends, wich tells me it wasnt a earthquake, felt it comeing from a specific place, two times during this trip. on a road i dont drive often, so i dont know if its the road or not.

im gonna stick with the theory of Tramlining from the link above

I remember one day I was driving to work, and suddenly my tires felt like jello. I thought I'd lost some lugs and one of my wheels was about to fall off or something.

So I pulled over to the side of the road, got out of my car, and started looking around at all my wheels.

This dude walks up to me from out of nowhere and said, "Dude, we just had an earthquake."

I'm sure it's just the freeway's construction. I also get weird lateral pushing/pulling drifting feelings from wind in certain places along the 101 freeway going up to Norcal.
