"Chingy" sound when shifting...
Sup guys,
I recently started hearing this annoying sound when shifting from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd only... It sounds like a low level "blow-off-valve" sound, (and no im sure i dont have a turbo) thats annoying me like crazy! Its like a whistle sound mixed with rolling pocket change sound...???...i dunno, its hard to explain. I am suppose to taking the car in on Friday morning for the rear ticking sound so, I'll have them check this out as well. Anyone else experience this?

Probably coming from the rear axel, its a common problem with the Z. If your car is still under warranty the dealers will fix it, they fixed mine, I got new bearings and a few other things all fixed under warranty. The sounds from mine did come from the right passenger rear of the vehicle and it sounded like a little loose change when inertia took place between switching gears. Final answer, take it to the dealer, they'll fix it.

Do you have a modified intake? After I put my AEM CAI on, I would get a low blow off sound when the car shifted sometimes. Also, check your air filter and replace it if necessary.
