A maxima owner is just a Z wannabee without the ***** to make the move.

 

hmmm lets see here.

I have a 96 and a 2001 Maxima (both GLE). they are great cars. i drive the black one 85 miles a day, have a 140,000 miles on it. the only thing to ever go wrong was the bose stereo (what a surprise). They are what they. A four door sedan with decent power, decent fuel economy, and reliable in the way nissans are. but that is it. nothing more, nothing less. It fills the nitch well, and serves as a great everyday car. But there is a reason why i spend time here. why i have never even looked at maxima.org or anything, and why both those cars are stock. that is the way they should be. They handle ok for a larger car, but after tracking MR2's for 5 years, they leave much to be desired.

corolla/celica (non GT4 Alltrac Turbo guys) owners used to do the same thing to MR2 owners.

let them live and be jealous.



and yes. my maxima's are great grocery getters/golf bag haulers/5 people going ot the bar haulers. but it isn't, and never will be a sports car...

 

funny cuz its true... ppl with the 4 door car always end up being the designated driver that end up hauling 5+ ppl to the bar

 

not exactly true tho... maxima to Z is not the same as Z to skyline, although i kno someone is gonna stir up the air btwn the 2.. im assuming that the difference is FI, which can be fixed in the Z if u got the $$.. and anyway btwn sports cars, whether they are 4, 6, or 8 cylinder, they all belong to their own respective classes... as far as sedan vs sports car then u can make that argument that blah blah blah doesnt own a Z etc... if u own a sports car, just be proud and make the most of it and dont start flaming other sports cars and such, thats my philosophy

HEY HEY HEY!, Come on, those Maxima owners know what they're talking about, You have to give the Maxima (or more like Minima) some props, it competes with the almighty camry and diamante and I just love the interior of the maxima, say for carseats and groceries. But really, insulting maxima owners is like booing at the special olympics.

 

I actually got time to waste time, reading the second page of that thread (I only read the first and was disgusted), what a bunch of 13 year old *****es, most of them don't know how to spell a god damn thing, and repeat themselves in their own posts. They are making up such ******** about the 350z, I want to slap every single one of those kids....ugly interior? YOUR DRIVING A CAR WITH ALMOST THE SAME INTERIOR. Unless you have some old *** maxima, then you REALLY have no room to say anything about our interior....a turd? A turd? How many magazines, how many commericals (Mobil 1, Magnaflow) do you see a 350z in? I know I see them almost a 100% more then any Maxima being advertised. To say it looks like a turd, that is really reaching for the sky, jealousy turns people into ****ing retards. I cant believe they are ragging on an "outdated engine" when it is more updated then theirs.....hilarious.

What is the deal with them ragging on our interior, what car doesnt have alot of plastic in the interior? And I know this isnt some cheap *** plastic ****, it actually has texture and shape, lines that flow into everything, take any other car in or under its price range and compare the interior to a 350z, you wont get better for the price.

Personally I dont like the G35 interior because it seems to fit an older person rather then a young modern person that is a tuner, especially that big dome for the gauges, no disrespect, but I like the Z because it has a sporty tuner feel...And it IS NICE...If I needed a evenly stylish, bigger, and slightly more luxurious version of the Z, I would have bought a G. They talk like the G is some luxo car, and the Z just has a crap *** plastic interior, wtf? Thats some pretty godamn good looking plastic, same for the G....idiots, idiots, idiots, what a waste of time. I wont ever look at that board again, what a bunch of *****es....

Z and G, making immature Maxima owners everywhere jealous. And what sucks is there are cool Maxima owners, that love the Z and G, and the Maxima period is a nice car, I wouldnt mind having a black on to cruise in, stock it doesnt need anything, I already have a Z that I am tricking out, its the sports car, I dont need to do anything to the Maxima, its doing what it is supposed to do, be a powerful, stylish, people hauler. I could rant for days about that board and those people, but **** that. I'm almost sure my post doesnt make sense, thanks to those people hurting my head with their ignorant posts.....anyways, lets just like our Z's and G's, because we know they are the ****, right? well, not all maxima owners hate the Z. I for one am looking at a good priced Z Touring (I currently have an '04 maxima) cos i love the look & performance of the Z and I wanna buy it for my wife. Maybe some people just have poor taste (talking about those who bad-mouth the Z...)

I shopped for the G35coupe as my first choice. Then the day came to test drive one, I could not stand the interior. I was expecting sexy, all I got was an old man's car. The car definately looks awsome on the outside, but it looks like they designed the interior for an old man. You are right about the dome shape thingy with the analog clock. It reminded me of the Saturn. The interior of the 350Z is sexier to me, and when I test drove the 350Z, I loved the outside as well as the inside. Hence why I switched to looking for 350Zs instead of G35coupes. No regrets.

350Z = Sex on wheels.

^5 on that one! I miss my '93 MR2 with it's sweet mid-engine design, I DON'T miss the .002 cubic feet of trunk space or it's NA 135 HP engine though....LOL

I tried to buy a used one on eBay a while ago....the still command top dollar...no doubt it was (and is) a bad ****.

 

Hahahaha that is true... but atleast our comments actually make sense, vs a family car owner, telling us our cars are weak, handle poorly, and look like a "turd".

 

No doubt some of the comments on this thread are not better you are right. Juno, you are right about them starting it, at least I am not using made up ignorant facts about a car that I test drove a couple of times like the thread starter stated, I am sure that qualifies the him to be an editor for Road and Track....I for one have never heard my interior "rattle", wtf could possibly rattle other then my change in its cuuby? Everything is very tight and nice. I also know about the suspension squeek, and hear it every so often, but to say the build quality is poor and the car has "rattles", is stupid.

I like how they pointed out the things Jeremy Clarkson said about the Z, didnt he also bash American designers and America itself? He also sounds like a hater, I thought that was the worst evaluation of a car he has ever done, I ask him to find a car there that costs the same, looks half as good, and has the same build quality as the Z. Not to mention, the Z and G are more reliable then any other car, other then the 3 series, and 5 series bmw's.....please, they are all haters, and I dont know why....?

i did multiple two person cross country trips in it, and it has enough room if you pack well. the trunk held a surpising amount of stuff...........

Not really more like to the G. Which show how stupid they are as the two cars are extreamly similar.

The Max is a nice sedan. I thinks its a great sales car ... you know for people that dont want to look too sucessful to scare customers away(like your making too much $ of them), yet want somethng nice and something thats impressive. The reason they are all butt hurt is that they dont get people coming up to them like we do telling them how "hot" there car is, or girls asking "can I go for a ride"

not all maxima drivers act or think that their cars are better than 350z's or g35's. I own a 04 350z and a supercharged 98 maxima and i am a member of maxima.org also, there are always a few people over there that like to hate on everyone else's car when there really is no need for it at all. There's no need for all of the hating between maxima and 350z drivers, its all a matter of opinion to each individual on which car is better.

 

Who else thinks the Nissan Quest is a turd? It's not even a "real minivan". The Plymouth Voyager has more cargo space! The Quest weighs way more than the 350Z, and I doubt it could go faster than even a Maxima. If I was a soccer mom, I would not buy a Quest. I would rather go with a Hummer.
