Default ODD static noise when fueling......

hey
looking for ideas about the following:

when listening to radio at gas station, it makes a intermittent static noise when the gas jockey puts the nozzle in the tank... it only happens when hee's inserting or removing it....

im thinking grounding??

anyone else?

yea and it IS an aftermarket stereo, just hoping its not some kind of short, hate for a spark to generate in the gashole... kaboom!

Yeah I would think maybe your amp ground is getting to the gas filler.

If I hear a big boom, and see a big fireball rising, just East of me I'll know who that is, rolling!

Get the guys to check out how well your amp is grounded and make sure you have a circuit breaker in the main power circuit. I bet you got some voltage leaking to the frame/body structure.
