Track Or 35th
I have a question and help deciding
IS it impossible to get the 05' Track with navigation?
Iam deciding between the two I want the Track because it has everything i want - the aero package, brembos, and 300hp But i heard a rumor that it is impossible to get the 05' with navigation. The 35th has everything the track has INCLUDING the nissan navigation system but the only thing is that it costs more and is heavier. I want the stock navigation i dont want aftermarket navi because the stock nissan one just looks right. And if the rumor is false and i could get it with stock navi how much more would it cost people told me that option would cost me 2 grand and it would cost as much as the 35th.

The Nav option is indeed 2 grand. It is also not available on anything but the Touring and 35th for 05. If you are going to spend Track money then just go ahead and get the 35th. For like $2K diff you get the leather 6 disc changer, electric heated seats, and some nice wheels. I personally can't see spending that much on a Z and not getting the Nav and leather. I would suggest waiting for the 06 if you want the new engine or get a great deal on current Enthusiast models and just do your own upgrade. Also, the Track model is almost the heaviest model. The 35th probably adds less than 50 pounds.
The dealer told me it can be installed afterward into any Z, but it is $2,000 plus labor. (he could have been wrong though)
I just bought an 05 Anniversary model with Nav and am very happy with it.
Good luck making your decision!

i've got an '05 Track, and i was making the same decision you were. Its all preferance. I felt i didnt need all the special things that you get with the 35th. I wanted just a track car. I didnt want/need the leather, nav option, or any of that. I spent the money because it had what i was looking for...the Ray's wheels, brakes (same on 35th), and the tuning (same as 35th). Just trying to help you out and give you some reasons why i went with my Track. But either way you cant go wrong! just preferance
The 35th anniversary is a really sweet car and if you want all those options I say go for that. I went with a performance because I wanted a pretty basic one but with the main mechanical things I needed. No point in spending a bunch more on a car that's pretty much the same except for options unless they are really important to you...Just my 2 cents.

Personally after seeing what the 2006 will be I can't believe anyone would want the 35th anniversary edition. You can get everything the 35th had in a 2006 for probably cheaper. Unless you get a great deal go with a 2006 or the track.
I have a 35th! I will sell you my stock nav. If I where to do it agian I would get the base model. I have already spent $3000 in Volks $4000 in stereo (becuase the 6 disk "BOSE" system really really sucks, speakers are made from cheap paper and cheap magnets) The cool leather seat with the airbags on them, 60lbs thats right! each. There is nothing on the car that makes it special. Go Base and MOD it. They are sell base models right now for $1500 under invoice, thats what? Base $26,000 - $1500 = cheap new car and money to MOD! I am all firied up now. My MSRP was $39,000 I paid $36,900, if I bought a Base at $26,000 thats a $10,000 in savings. If the thought of modding the car has past your mind even a little go Base, if your not going to touch it, well then the 35th is the car for you, But remeber I TOLD YOU SO! If you get a 35th dont pay more than $37,000 on a $39,400 - $40,300 35th coupe MSRP
The one thing that disappoints me about the 35th is the lack of forged rims. It's supposed to be the top model with everything...and yet it lacks one of the coolest features found on the track model. The track itself is a great car, but if you're going to mod it you can get a performance/enthusiast and add better brakes and rims for similar money.

thanks guys i forgot about the labor for the install of the nav. i dont really know yet i think iam going for the track right now but lets see how it will work out with the navigation, and thanks for bringing up the rays rims those are a must for me and the 35th just doesnt have that and i would of course would have to spend more for it to be on there. hmmmm still deciding

This seems like a common issue, I had the same dilemma. I originally wanted a 05 DB Track with nav but nav wasnt offered in the Track and DB Track was not available and that same day a SB 35th with nav rolled in so I just oicked that up. If you really want the nav just get the 35th.

As mentioned above, buy the car, drive it for 1000 miles to break it in and ensure quality. Then, take that $10k and buy the FI mod of choice (ST, TT or SC), throw in some tires and suspension, and beef up the brakes.
This car takes mods very well and is a blast to drive at 400+ hp.
