Posting fact #42:

If your post starts with the sentence "I don't want to start a flame war BUT..." chances are you're going to.

I'm not picking on you 350zpower...it's just that we've had so much negative crap flying around here today that I'm getting what I call a "zcar headache".

I am just curious how the Z community would respond if the G35c comes in with similar performance ( + .2 seconds) and handles similarly and we all know the base model is going to be less then 30k.

Because it seems more and more likely that is exactly whats going to happen.

I somewhat agree with what you are saying. Firstly I really don't see how a smaller 2-seater with several weight reduction measures taken weighs only 150 lbs less than a 4-door G35 SEDAN that is larger than a BMW 330i. I can't imagine the G35c weighing as much as its 4 door brother so that leaves it weighing MAYBE 50 lbs more than the 350Z. With almost the same amount of power I bet the G35c and 350Z will be close in performance yet the coupe has the benefit of being 2+2. Of course the 350Z is much more agressive looking but I was hoping the inconveinence of being a 2-seater and not having any cargo room (huge strut brace in rear) was going to be worth it since it would be a night and day difference in performance. Now the G35c doesn't look so bad especially considering the perks Infiniti throws in for free (loaner car, better warranty, etc). But I am sure after I drive the Z just once nothing else will matter.

i think we should wait and see, making these kind of post will only bring up someone's anger and start a flame war, c'mon, all the truth will be revealed after the car comes out~

u know, i almost get angry and flame u but then after reconsidering this is the my350z board so i didn't~

Good point. It's not a Z. If the G35C came in FASTER than the Z by a few decimals (which I think we all know won't happen)...I still wouldn't care. I like the look of the Z better.
