I don’t do AutoX. I think it’s a waste of time and resources and it just hurt the car. That’s just my opinion. I do plenty of full road course track days though.

I don’t speed on the highway ‘cuz I believe I pay enough taxes as it is and don’t want to contribute more than necessary !

i agree partly about why not to speed on the highway
And track days

Now... why were you teasing me?? lol im a hot tempered guy sometimes

Yeah, I have decided to keep my "beater" 99 pathfinder, yet have somehow managed to rack up 4500 mile on my Z in the 4 months that I have owned it...

For everyone who doesn't want to put miles on your car or pointless miles per se, what exactly is pointless. You go from point A to B because you have to. It doesnt matter if your Z is your daily driver or your second car for fun. You bought it because you want to drive it. I hate hearing about how they don't like using their car to commute to work or school , etc etc. The Z is meant to be driven lol. As for me I use mine as a daily driver because I'm forced to. I can't afford a beater because I'm a poor college student who worked 3 years at a cell phone company to save up for a nice down payment on the Z. And every mile I put on it I thrilled. 2003 track with 35000 miles and loving it. -john

Mines a 2006 SB. Daily driver and work is about 26 miles each way and I dont even look at the odometer. I'll drive the Z till something major breaks, then I'll trade it in at Nissan and roll out with whatever year/version/flavor of Z they got.

I do and yesterday two nights ago, I heard the awful sound of bottoming the Z. There was heavy snow here in Toronto after a storm hit and I drove to Toronto for New Years Party. I was extremely impressed with how capable this car is in the snow except during lane changes. I feel a wobble as I cross over the mounds of snow separating lanes. All was fine and dandy until I got to the city. The snow had covered the RAISED tracks for the street car. I was riding on the tracks with is leveled with equally raised concrete and hense I did not feel anything different when I was on the tracks, but then noticed that this was not a lane for cars and street cars only so when I switch back on the lane...I hear screetching metal as the bottom of my Z grinds getting off the concrete. I wanted to shoot myself. I kept telling myself it wouldn't have happened if I had gotten off the previous exit like I should have because I knew the road was clear back there instead of this area. But as a daily driver...everytime I sit in the car and turn her on, it turns me on. I'm selling it in the spring to move to the city and I hope to get $30,000 CDN which is about a $6000 loss for driving it about 20,000km. Just 3 seasons. I invested in slotted brakes, sss. lines, and a sick Alpine system that is customized to look stock. It's gonna hurt bad when I give up the keys.

Daily Driver here too. I have about a 70mile comute per day so wanted something I would actualy enjoy driving. My VW Golf GTI VR6 was boring and bland.

Of course I live in Floida so the only snow we get is from the Gov. blowing it up our collective azzes. Oh wait, that's smoke...

I kept my 94 Nissan SE V6 pickup when I bought my Z which was a good thing. For the first year I drove my car on the weekends only and my truck to work. Now I have a new job and am driving the Z more often to work.
Bottom line, hava second vehicle if you can but drive that Z as often as you can cause its so much more fun.....
