I am going to get an '06 GT Roadster, and am not decided between Redline with black leather or Magnetic Black with vent. orange. I have seen Super Black with orange and it looks great. I am worried that Magnetic may be a charcoal shade or something, so I want to order soon, but I don't want the wrong color either. Does anyone know of this color and what it is like?

 

Ask the dealer for the paint code of Magnetic Black, and compare it to the code of Super Black.

 

I was under the impression that it was super black with some shiny metallic flakes in the paint.

 

^^ agreed. i think i remember reading it has some blueish metallic flakes.

 

not a fan of the orange, i'd get black on black for sure

 

It is VERY close to the metallic black the new Dodge Charger comes in from what I understand.

I forgot about the commercial, thanks. The picture on the website to launch the commercial has a black z coupe, and it looks like there are 19's on the back and 18's on the front, so do you think it is safe to assume this is an '06 with new Magnetic Black color? Also, not sure what good knowing the color code (I read somewhere it is G41) would do me.

 

Isn't the new color named "Magentic Black", not magnetic black? Magenta is a purple looking color. I would assume that it is a black with purple metal flake or a purple sheen. Probably like Brickyard only darker.
