DATSUN 350Z for UK?
Read this at autoexpress.co.uk:
Datsun Revival
Is Datsun about to make a comeback in UK showrooms? In a speech in Japan, Nissan president Carlos Ghosn said the name was an integral part of the car manufacturer's history and that he was considering a revival.
The Datsun tag was last used in 1981, when the bonnet badge changed from the brand name, Datsun, to the company name, Nissan.
Cool ... I'd rather drive a Datsun Z than a Nissan Z anyday.

Nissan, Datsun ... it's all the same. =) I found it funny that my buddies '84 was a Datsun and my '85 was a Nissan - They must have stopped using it earlier in the UK b/c I can vouch that the '84 Anniv. Edition was a Datsun

I got the photo from the article. I think that was the old Datsun badge maybe?
For me, Datsun = cool 1970's Z cars, Nissan = Nissan Micra (boring little econo car that people learn to drive in over here). That's why I'd prefer them to call it Datsun. Maybe it doesn't have the same negative connotations in the US.

no it does, no one says YES I JUST BOUGHT A NISSAN! lol. they say holy **** i just got a 350Z, but rarely a nissan 350Z.
Nissan hasnt made a car to be proud of in years. even the 300ZX was like a odd relative among the ugly early 90's max and tiny altima's. they need to change their image which is what there trying to do. the new Altima, 350Z, GT-R, and Murano are a start.
