Default Changing out your seats...

I was wondering if anyone up here has changed out their seats in the Enthusiast/base models to the power leather seats from the Touring. I was looking to buy a pair of power/leather seats from someone, but I was wondering how hard it would be to fit them in my Enthusiast and how hard it would be to run the wiring for the power seats. Is it just removing the old seats and bolt the other ones in? Has anyone done it?

I'd bet this has been talked about, but since I'm in the same situation and I'm too lazy to use the search....bump....oh and will there be problems if you have side airbags on the seats?

Instead of doing that, I ordered leather and recovered the stocks on my base.

I wondered the same thing at one point but I dont believe the non-power seat Zs have the necessary wiring.

What is most important to you, the leather or the power?

I am in the same situation here. Even drove out to take a look at leather seats taken off a totaled Touring. The guy does not know how hard it would be to install in the models that do not have leather. Don't really care for heated or powered. Just want leather.

I would be surprised if the seats themselves wouldn't just install in as a replacement, though you have other options. You could recover them (I had a shop do it near me for $500 installed).

Thanks for the quick reply Chicken. I was thinking to re-cover them as well since I want a 2 tone design. Will check out someof the local shops to get a price quote.

I think the shop I had it done at will ship out the covers (it was Apache in Santa Fe Springs, CA), but you can get them at a number of places (search for Katskin -spelling, or Leatherseats.com, etc.)

Here's what I had done (for an idea)...

EDIT: I just noticed you have Yellow and that probably wouldn't look too good. Aside from black, I'm not sure what other Yellow owners have done.

hmmm...seems like I'm not getting the answer I was asking...hahaha.....oki...so umm...I want leather seats and power seat is also good...don't care for heated seats....so does anyone know if there's a difference in the track of the power seats vs non-power seats...and is it hard to run wire to power the seats....I know side airbag would be hard to install cuz of sensor issue...

aftermarket-leather-wise, I have some vendors from the dealership that I can get them thru, but I want factory just because, it's more of an exact match...you can actually order aftermarket leather covers online and they will send to you...I have a vendor from my dealership that will get me perforated leather for $699 installed....try Classic Soft Trim...they are known for their leather...you can find them online....

one more thing, does anyone have pictures of aftermarket leather color seats taken with body color just so I can see what color goes good with what....thanX faizei, that looks good... vbmenu_register("postmenu_1678455", true);

Thanks for the infomation! I will check out classic soft trim since I do want a special two tone leather seat instead of just the stock.

I may be selling my 2-tone Anniversary Edition seats at some point. You should be able to see them on Nissan's site. They're black and tan, not black and yellow, though.

Default Changing Seats to power can work

I have a 03 track with the harness preinstalled so the seat was bolt on, plug in.
This track had seat bags so the harness was present.

My other track without seat bags did not have the harness installed.

If you need heat there is a separate harness and switch assy that is required. This plugs in directly to a connector under the center console.

Got a quote from Leatherseats.com and it will only cost me ~$600 for the seat with two tone custom design and Z logo stiched into headrest. I think I will go down this path rather then to mess with replacing the whole seat from a touring or 35th anniversary model.

Thanks for the info guys.
