There are probably ten previous threads on this topic if you do a search. That being said I like the splash guards. The car still needs a front spoiler though.

I like the front splash guards but think the back ones look rediculous. I took off the rear ones and it looks much better.

With wide wheels and tires, the rear looks better w/o the splash guards. My rear wheels are 10" on 275 tires. The car looks wider and more aggressive w/o the rear guards. On stock, I like them.

I’m looking forward to a “Splash Guard Poll.” Oh boy oh boy can’t wait.

You don't see cheapo, stuck-on splash guards on Porsches, Vettes, Ferraris......

Putting all this to thought...Overall, the sportier look calls for no splash guards

I purchased them with my car. They came off after 2 weeks.

The reasons:

1) Looks better with them off IMHO

2) Dirt and grime was getting held by those things and was already messing up the paint underneath. I had to buff off and clean off the crud that was collecting on the fenders.

Nice pics. Thanks for helping me decide. The only reason I even considered them is b/c I thought that they made the car look a little lower.

spalsh guards, like lift-kits and 33" tires, should only be on trucks IMO.

I think they look like crap but that's just me. If somebody put a gun to my head I would either get shot or just have them in the front only.

It's the ones in the back that I really can't stand.

Mine won't have either.

Nope they were taken off as well. After the first two pictures. They had more crud under them as well. All this happened within the first month or two.
I just wanted to show that picture since some have keep the front ones.
I took them off no chips in the doors two years later and you can see I live out in the country so there is a lot of dirt and stuff that can mess up my panels. That dirt stays in the wheel wells pretty good. I plan in going to 255 in the rear and 245 in the front soon and do not fear the wider tires will throw anything more out of the fenderwells.
Here is a picture from about a year back. About a year after I took off the front splash guards.

It just looks a lot cleaner. It doesn't look like anything was just tacked on in my opinion. Not metal flares and superwide tires would be awesome on the Z. But, a lot of money and time are involved in that set up:
