Default Cool tidbit I learned about the Z last night...

Yesterday it was VERY windy in D/FW with gusts of up to 35 MPH. On my way home last night, every other car on the road (especially SUVs) were bucking to and fro under the extremely windy conditions. As I laughed at the other drivers trying to stay in their respective lanes, I realized that the Z wasn't moving AT ALL. Like a hot knife cutting through butter, I blasted around everyone else without feeling nary a shimmy.

Sweet.

Very cool. I can't wait to put my car to that test as well.

Glad to hear it. Nobody in Cali, below elevation 5000 or so, has any right to complain about weather but we can get some serious wind at times.

Good point, Droid. It was windy down here as well yesterday, and while I was giving a friend a ride in the Z, I um, accidentally got up to 143 MPH. It had been dead stable last time I was up around that speed, but this time (I'm assuming due to the wind) it was actually rocking a little bit back and forth. Nothing major...but noticable. It was also feeling a bit floaty, so I didn't stay at that speed too long.

Default Wind, What Wind?

I drive the altamont pass area to work. Without a storm in the area you can get some serious wind, with a storm hold onto your wheel.
When I started driving the Z I had to call my husband and ask if we had some wind on the drive because I couldn't tell.
I could tell he was so pleased that I had to ask. (He drives a Chevy 2500HD 4X4.)
Morale of story: Don't ask if it's windy, look at the trees.

Out here in Boulder CO I noticed the same. We can get some days with 60+ wind gusts and the 350Z isn't getting blown around at all.

Yeah, I was driving home one day on a deserted road going about 45 mph, and it was slightly windy. I heard a lot of noise, and at first, I thought that I was kicking up rocks. It turned out to just be the wind moving around the car. I've driven on this road in the wind in about 5 other cars, and I could never hear the wind.
