Crude futures just set an all time record for price increase during a day.

From 63 to 67 due to whatever the next hurricans name is.

Gasoline futures up as well.

Gas IS going up on speculation alone

I'll pay $5/gallon maxium. Otherwise I will have to take the big blue Limo-City Bus as my daily driver.

You just perfectly described what the unanswered question is plagueing the minds of the world oil market.. Just how much can the American economy absorb.. At what point will the supply and demand equation begin to turn..

They fear conservation so much. Maybe one day we will all learn how much power we have against them, if only we would conserve.

So you bought 10,000 barrels today right? That should be a nice piece of change when you sell at $80.

Yes, indubilitly, vis-a-ve, and I don't disencure either.

At least for now gas prices went down under 3 bucks for premium again. A survey was taken in chicago saying that most people would pay a maximum of 5 bucks a gallon. Thats insane...I'm going to look for a good bike.
