They fit in the tire-stem location.

Did your car come with TPS system initially? If not then sensors don't do any good because there's no receiver to pick up their output signal.

If it did come with TPS, and they can't get any of the sensors to activate, then they either have a bad tool, or you have 4 dead sensors. They are battery powered, and the battery is non-replaceable. They're supposed to have a 7 or 8 year life though, so I'd be surprised if that were the case.

I have the system. I figure the dealer techs may not be doing something right. I find it hard to believe that all four are dead. They are trying to say that they must be installed wrong or that they won't work with aftermarket wheels. My wheels accepted the sensor very well, it was a perfect fit. They told me to go back to the tire shop. I don't know what good that would do me. I am going to go to Performance Nissan and see if they can get them to work.

The Antenna that picks up their output is in your passengers side A-pillar and the receiver unit is in the passenger side dash.
Interesting and useful - thank you.

How long after you stop moving does the sensor turn off?
It must have some time delay otherwise your would get dashes on the display at a red light.

If they are motion sensitive then that means if I am trying to get the pressure to read correctly on the dash while putting air in at the gas station and checking with my manual gauage, it is a lost cause right?

I assumed the delay in getting a reading was on the dash was due to the sensor makeing a bunch of measurements to average before displaying - kind of like 'warming it up'

Thanks for the educational info
