Emax,
On back to back tests of the same car on my dyno and the typical dynojet (of which there are many in SoCal), the Dynapack reads about 10 hp higher. Usually the more powerful the car, the smaller the difference (as wheel mass seems to play a smaller role). This has been demonstrated on several cars, both FWD and RWD, and seems to be pretty consistent.
I believe that some of the folks that have been reporting low numbers on the dynojet (which should be showing 245 whp or so on average for the Z, just like SCC obtained - the 22x numbers are just way too low) may be dealing with excessive engine temperatures or some other _test_ issues - not car issues. This is why we always check coolant temps before each run to ensure consistency. Not having to worry about tire pressure or strap down tension on the Dynapack helps as well.
Edit - I just realized you may be saying the dyno reads 30 hp off from crank hp, not dynojets - in which case, you'd be accurate. On modern FR cars like the Z, S2000, etc. the drivetrain losses on the dynapack seem to be around 30 hp.
Rgds,
Shawn

The broken in Z dynos that I've seen that were done in 5th gear (1:1) are all in the 240+whp range, including the one from SCC.
But all in all dyno #s don't mean cr@p. The car has proven itself on the track to be capable of high 13s BONE STOCK.
