Default What's weakest performance thing about 350Z?

350z has so many good features...huge torque, big power, good handling.
But what's the worst performance feature?

My opinion: non-brembo factory front brakes. Gotta upgrade this to BBK then Z his 10 times more fun.

you really think brakes are the worst feature? The stock Z has phenomenal brakes according to pretty much anyone ive talked to including me. Im sure big brakes will improve that but that is by far a "weak" point. Weight is the worst performance feature of our Z, too heavy or maybe factory tire width.

I agree, if the Z was around 2,800lbs it would be so much more fun then it is already now. And everyone I have talked to has agreed that the Z comes with great non-brembo brakes. I have a friend who tracks his Z all summer and he doesn't have brembo brakes. He is ususally at the tops of the standings.

I would say that the weakest performing aspect of the Z is the weight as well...

However.... the weakest part of the Z i would have to say is the paint.

Since my tranny is not noisy, tires were recently upgraded via manufacturers warranty and dont have the Bose ( had it in the 350ZX and Maxima - loved it ) - I would like to say I feel it is too sluggish getting out of 1st into 2nd ( am I shifting wrong?? I have had a number of manuals over the years, including the 300ZX (5 speed) - which I thought was much easier from first to 2nd. I dont really feel the 6 speed has that much over the 5 speed - I had the 350 to 125 a couple times - no problem beating Mercedes on the freeway ) Most cars were afraid to challenge me.

the weakest performance thingabou tthe z would have to be... the lack of adjustments available for performance alignment.
no way to change front caster
very minimal ammounts of rear toe change...
etc...

Weak paint is a problem. But I'm not sure we want them too light. Weight does add to stability and safety to a point.

The performance of the d@mn door on the center console compartment in the dash. (I don't have a navigation system).

No matter how I push the button, it takes me several tries to open it.

I know exactly what you mean, so you try different things like making sure to press it down all the way and hold it there for a sec, or pressing the button in a differnt spot...its annoying.
