True. The car doesn't feel heavy to me...but the weight does slow the car down.

But I agree that I'd keep my 5-star crash ratings over shedding a few pounds. I looked at some EVO crash ratings and they were 2-stars and 3-stars. Eek.

Well for those of you who say the OEM brakes "teh sukorz"... track your car 1st and make that claim. I have tracked my car at Willow Springs and they were fine if you don't brake late in the corner and don't run them that hard. They last on short courses but since they are smaller than brembos they do fade if you track your car alot. I only track it once every 6 months so fade isnt an issue. Now since I changed my stock potenza's to S-03's.. the tires are perfect for me. They are all season too not summer only like the RE040. And if you aren't happy with the rims then change them. So my complaint would be the weight but like other have said I would rather have 5 star rating and have the extra weight than have a car with lil weight and if something happends... my life is more important than going fast. Check out the Lotus Elise if you want low weight.

Non Brembo brakes, hands down. Nothing limits my track time or performance like my brakes.

Further a lot of the weight is in providing a strong cage around the driver. From the number of threads I've seen here about guys crashing & walking away, it looks to me like the weight was "well spent".
