I wanted to get clearbra, but I havent gotten my bumper repainted, its now got almost 29k on the car, and the paint on the bumper is full of chips, the rest looks great... stupid bugs

I have had mine since Nov '03:
Very few chips. But to be fair during the workweek commute this is how you'll see me:
Plate and Bra installed. I hate CHP's (Chips) Pun intended.

Here's an example of so called “thin paint:” the result of road debris. I primed the area with anti-rust primer, then 3 coats of touch-up paint to build-up the surface, and followed by clear coat. I don't know how the 350Z paint compares to other cars, but it seems pretty thick to me.
