Exclamation 20 Z's on the lot!

I stopped by Atlantic Nissan in West Islip, Long Island this afternoon to give the colors another once over, and they had a whopping 20 Z's on the lot. Now, some of these mightr have been special order cars, but that's still quite a few either way. I also noticed they had removed all the $5,000 market value adjustment stickers that were previously on the cars located in the showroom.....must not be moving them out too quickly with that $5k gouge!

I've got it narrowed down to Redline and Daytona Blue....two GORGEOUS colors!

Yeah, I don't think people are paying for a Z with a mark up anymore! Especially $5k!!! Either way, good luck with your cchoice, and definitely post some pics when you are done!

Dealer near me has about 10 BEAUTIFUL Z's sittin' on his lot. All with $4k extra charge. Thank god the dealer insanity is *starting* to abate.

Still haven't seen that type of accumulation here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cars here are either in fewer suppy or move very quickly. There is one dealer that had 5 at one time (San Leandro) though they were asking 5K over. Most I've ever seen at any other dealer at one time is 1.

Definitely a beautiful color, but *way* too common amongst the Z clan, already.

I agree, here in northern california I haven't seen that many sittin on the lot, and the ones that are there I have heard still have markups on them. I think the weather makes a big difference in the rest of the country, as I would see 2 seater sport cars difficult to sell when it is snowing or there a torrential downpours. Here we have had a total of 10 days of rain this season, if that. It has been tolerable to beautiful the remaining days. Not rubbing it in here (well maybe a little ) but the point is Z's are selling here, and they are still hot. I get looks and comments every day I drive mine. I like this car more everytime I drive it, and I absolutely adored it my first time.

Go Z,

There's a reason it's way too common. It's the color!

geez....people would have paid 5k over msrp? so if you got the top of the line with all options, that'd be around 37k according to edmunds.com. plus 5k would be at 42. plus tax and reg would be around 46k. wow, that's 1k shy of msrp for an m3.

kinda takes the novelty away from the z.

I just kept my eyes open on all the boards around the net for dealers with inventory and asking sub-MSRP. I found one that was actually mispriced from what he thought he was listing it for. Since I was really looking for a performance instead of a touring, I told him I was probably no longer interested. Since they wanted to get it off of floorplan before the end of the year, they came down anyway.

I think it was the combination of the fact that I was not really sure I wanted to go up to touring, and didn't care if I didn't close the deal and the fact that they could save some money getting it off of floor plan if they let me have it that got me the deal. Win-win for both of us.

I first actually talked to the guy outside of email this morning, after negotiating since right before Christmas. Tomorrow night, I'll probably be garaging my new, blue touring Z

(Now just cross your fingers it doesn't scrape on my driveway )

Which is probably a big part of why they still have 30.

I went to 6 Nissan dealerships yesterday with a friend looking for an Xterra. All the dealerships had atleast one 350Z, most had 3-5 on the lot. One dealership was offering $200 under msrp and another dealership was charging 1k over msrp. All the others were asking msrp. I'm somewhat surprised to see that many 350Z's on the lot.

I guess we should all just get used to it, as Nissan is planning to build 30k a year. That's not a problem with me, though... I would rather see a great looking sports car than Some Ugly Vehicle!!!
