Default Is it possible to destroy the o2 sensor iff..

Is it possible to destroy the secondary o2 sensor if i put it on a test pipe w/o HELP method?? I hope not cuz i didnt on one side and my mileage went downhill. I'm at around 16mpg w/ normal driving when im normally around 20. I also have ****ty PSI in my tires which could add to the problem. I will be putting the HELP method on my o2 sensor this weekend.

If you wrecked the sensor, you would most likely have a SES light on. It is definitely possible to damage an o2 sensor anytime you remove/handle them. Low tire pressure is my guess at why your milage is in the tank. Either way, get the other bank setup with the nonfoulers, get some air in you tires and see what comes to be. You also need to consider that when you put in test pipes or any aftermarket part, there is a learning curve for the ECU for a short period, this could be hurting your milage a bit, especially if you reset your ECU during the install.

Why do you continue to drive on low PSI?

Nothing will happen to your o2 sensor by the end of the week unless you physically damage it yourself.
