Default Finally did the right thing.

The dealer I was dealing with was still giving me the run around about getting my car ordered so I talked to my dad and he said that dealership has been crooked even since he was a kid, so I told them not to worry about it and got my deposit back and took a 2 hour drive to a more reputable Nissan dealership. Now my car is ordered but in doing alot of thinking I decided to get a Daytona Blue instead of Lemans. I'v fallen in love with the daytona blue and my girl and I decided that would be the better choice since the lemans is too much like the color of my old car and I'd rather not have that color again. Now its officially done and unlike the other dealership they actually gave me paperwork showing it was done, so 90 days and I'll be Z'd.

Wow! 320 posts, and finally getting your Z. You have been writing about the Z so much, and now you finally will have it! I was like that too (except I talked about a Z to my friends and joined this forum after the fact). Welcome to the family!

Congrats man, though the wait will be killer! I'm still waiting for my Z to arrive as well, but I was curious as to what kind of paperwork they gave you showing you that they placed your order? So far, I just have my order #, though they did offer to fax me another sheet with my name next to the car I ordered with the details, build date, etc -- is this what you're talking about?

I haven't even ordered mine yet and the wait is killing me! Can only wish Denver didn't get any snow so I didn't have to wait this d@mn long. Mine will likely arrive in mid-March.

Hey what's up Abyss. I live in Missouri as well. What dealership was the first one you were trying to go through? And where did you end up ordering it from? If you don't mind me asking what part of Missouri are you in? Congrats on the Z!

Congrats on the car. I love Lemans sunset, and if I were to buy the next generation Z, it would be in Lemans Sunset as well.

Not too many people can get away with Lemans Sunset. It's like how the dog and owner start to look like each other. You can really tell a person's personality by the colour of car they choose. Here is my take on colours...

Silver = Doesn't like standing out, want to fit in.
Black = Mysterious, Smooth, GQ
Blue = Don't know anyone personally with a Blue car so can't really give any experience. Although I talked to this 45ish guy in a daytona blue ZR while driving and he was a snobby *****.
Lemans Sunset = Loves to be noticed, out-going, and a little bit of a wierd sense of humour
Brickyard = In between the Silver personality and the Lemans personailty.
Yellow = Very outgoing, loves to be the center of attention, a go-getter
Red = Don't know anyone with red so no input on this one.
White = Don't know anyone with white so no input on this one.

PS: It's crazy how much the Lemans Sunset get's the stares and the gawks. I haven't seen many Daytonna Blue Zs around town so I'm sure it's one to stand out too.

Whoops, I knew I was gonna miss out on a colour. I added in white. I've only seen a White ZR once that zoomed by quickly, two older ladies were in it, around 50ish. My Friend's friend owns a nissan dealership and he let his mom drive a white ZR to go show off to my friend. I wish I could have been there to see what the colour was like.

If I were to conclude anything from the above, I would say:

White = Mature, shophisticated, refined. But like I changed in my original post, I don't know enough to make a conclusion on whtie.

Yes, white is classy, and very "stealthy"....

Next thing they know, people only see the red tail lights high-lited in white :

Youngblood Nissan in springfield was 1st, So I went to Roper in Joplin and they hooked me up right. I had White, Lemans and Blue as my final choices but I let my girl help me make the final decisoin. She doesn't like the white, and I'm not sure I'd like white down the road either and I fell in love with that blue along time ago. Alot of people want me to use my style on a car of a different color and the lemans is too close the the fusion orange of my last car. I'll be happy with this route
